what is vocal coaching

Vocal coaching involves working on the technical and expressive aspects of an individual’s voice. This typically includes exercises aimed at improving voice quality, projection, breathing, pitch, and other aspects related to sound production. In addition to technical aspects, vocal coaching may also address expressive elements such as interpretation, emotional modulation, and connection with the audience.

Vocal coaching sessions are often tailored to the specific needs of the individual, whether it’s a singer looking to refine technique, a professional seeking to improve public speaking, or anyone wanting to explore and develop their voice in a particular way. Vocal coaching can be delivered on an individual basis or in a group setting, depending on the goals and preferences of the individual.

How is it working ?

During our sessions, a variety of tools and techniques tailored to each individual, are implemented to help you position your voice, better manage your emotions and stage fright, and if necessary, regain confidence.

During the initial appointment, we conduct a vocal assessment to establish a work program and determine the number of sessions required based on your personal and/or professional goals.

Breathing:

How to perform proper breathing?

Posture:

How do I feel the verticality of my body?

Gaze:

What is the nature of my gaze?

Silence:

How do we welcome silence?

Confidence:

How do I manage my emotions?

The body:

Connection of the body and voice through various methods such as the Feldenkrais method, Yoga, or Sophrology. Development of ease, relaxation, concentration, energy, quality of presence, a set that allows for better control of breathing.

The voice:

Learn to project your voice to hear the different registers and explore resonance areas. Find mobility in the jaw, lips, and tongue. Work on abdominal breathing, have a flexible diaphragm. Perform vocal exercises, work on diction, articulation, fluency, and intonation. Manage stress and stage fright, find your posture during vocal projection, and finally, work on your presence in space and in public.
